Planning a company event starts with practical details. You need the right room size, a menu format that fits the schedule, and clear policies for timing, guest count, and setup. If you're organizing a corporate event in South Jersey and want a private venue with in-house catering, here's how one comes together at Adelphia Weddings in Deptford.
What to Look for in a Corporate Event Venue with In-House Catering
In-house catering is one of the details we get asked about most for business events, and the practical value is that the food conversation stays tied to the same venue inquiry as the room. Here's how it works, along with the formats and policies worth reviewing.
In-house catering and menu formats
Our venue offers in-house catering, and our banquet menus give planners several formats to review before the event. That matters for a corporate event because the menu format affects the event schedule, guest flow, and final planning deadlines. Menu selections are due 10 days before the event, which gives planners a clear deadline for confirming food, desserts, bar options, and any enhancements.
Choose a format that fits your schedule
A business event can use a banquet luncheon, banquet dinner, buffet, or cocktail style format, depending on the guest count and the event schedule. Our banquet luncheon menu has a start time between 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM. It includes fresh baked bread and butter, garden salad, entrée choices served with vegetable and potato of the day, assorted cookies and biscotti, and beverages. For a buffet format, the special occasion buffet requires a minimum of 50 guests and includes fresh baked bread and butter, soup du jour, garden salad, entrée choices, pasta, sides, assorted cookies and biscotti, and beverages. For a reception-style function, the cocktail party package requires a minimum of 50 guests and includes heavy hors d'oeuvres displayed and replenished for two consecutive hours.
Music and audio visual in private rooms
If your event includes music or a presentation, that's workable. In private rooms, music and audio visual are permitted with a certificate of insurance on file, which gives your team a clear policy to plan around.
Logistics that keep a work function on track
A few operational details are worth knowing up front. Access to the event space begins one hour before the event start. No materials may be affixed to walls, floors, ceilings, or furnishings. Final guest count is due 5 days before the event. The count may increase after submission, but it cannot decrease, so it's best to confirm a number your team is sure of. If your organization is tax-exempt, you can submit proof of status to the banquet office at least two weeks before the event so it's applied correctly.
Room options for your group
Adelphia has two named spaces for larger events. The Pan Athenian Center holds up to 180 guests, and the Pan Athenian Grand Ballroom holds up to 500. Those capacities give planners room options to compare based on guest count.
