A rehearsal dinner is often the first time everyone slows down and sits together before the wedding day. Both families, the wedding party, and out-of-town guests all gathered in one room with nowhere to be but present. At Adelphia Weddings in Deptford, NJ, we're just minutes from Cherry Hill and Philadelphia, which makes us a practical choice for couples who need a private dinner done well the night before everything begins.
Why Couples Choose Adelphia Weddingscfor a Rehearsal Dinner Near Philadelphia
A dedicated private space with in-house catering and a banquet team that already knows the timeline means the couple can actually be at dinner rather than running it. Here's how an evening at our restaurant comes together.
The Right Room for Your Group
Rehearsal dinners are smaller and more deliberate than the wedding itself. Our semi-private spaces start at 18 guests, which works well for the wedding party and immediate family. For larger gatherings with extended family or out-of-town guests, our private rooms accommodate between 50 and 175 guests, depending on the room.
Both options include linens. Semi-private spaces are set with white tablecloths. Private rooms use ivory. Specialty linens are available from us at an additional fee. Outside linens and charger plates are not permitted. Set-up access begins one hour before your event starts, and decor must be freestanding, as nothing can be affixed to walls, floors, ceilings, or furnishings. An Evening Dinner Menu Built for This Occasion
Our Banquet Dinner Menu starts between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM and requires a minimum of 18 guests. It opens with fresh-baked bread and butter, Soup du Jour, and a garden salad, giving the meal a relaxed, seated pace from the start.
You select three entrees from a list covering seafood, beef, veal, chicken, and pasta. Options include Filet Mignon, Prime Rib Au Jus, Grilled Salmon, Veal Marsala, Chicken Florentine, and Stuffed Baked Filet of Flounder with crab imperial. Each is served with a vegetable and a potato of the day. Special entrees are available at an additional fee for guests with specific dietary needs. A pasta course with selections like Penne Ala Vodka Blush or Sacchetti with Basil Pesto Sauce can be added, as can an upgraded salad course with Caesar or Greek options. These additions pace the meal so the evening has room to breathe between courses. Hors d'Oeuvres on Arrival
Displayed or butlered hors d'oeuvres give guests something to enjoy as they settle in and conversations start naturally. Butlered options include Crab Imperial Stuffed Mushroom Caps, Sea Scallops Wrapped in Bacon, and Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus with Cream Cheese and Sundried Tomato. Displayed selections include Antipasto, Assorted Gourmet Cheese, and Fried Calamari.
If hors d'oeuvres are included, they come out at the start of the event. If you prefer to move straight to dinner, the soup or first course is on the table within 45 minutes of the start of your event. Toasts and Bar Options
A rehearsal dinner near Philadelphia calls for a proper toast. A champagne or sparkling cider toast can be included as part of your event. For the broader bar, we offer open bar, consumption bar, and cash bar options so you can choose the format that fits your group best. Our wine list covers whites, reds, and sparkling options to suit different preferences at the table. We can walk you through these options so the evening feels right for your group.
Submission Deadlines and Event Policies
Menu selections and bar choices are due ten days before the event. The final guest count is due five days before. Counts can increase after that point, but they cannot decrease.
If guests arrive late, the host selects the remaining meal options. Plated courses are not held, and entree selections not submitted within one hour of the event start may incur additional fees. No outside food or beverages are permitted without prior approval from the Banquet Manager. Outside cakes are allowed with a cake-cutting fee. Individual desserts outside are permitted for a separate fee. Candy buffets from outside vendors are not permitted. A Central Location for Out-of-Town Guests
For couples planning a rehearsal dinner near Philadelphia, location is part of the decision. We're at 1750 Clements Bridge Road in Deptford, minutes from Cherry Hill and the city. Whether guests are arriving from Philadelphia, across South Jersey, or from further out, the drive is straightforward and keeps everyone close to where the rest of the wedding weekend unfolds.
